This winter will be remembered for many things — record-low snowfall, warm fronts rolling through the valley, rain events that washed away early cover, and ski runs that opened late or closed early. Across Thredbo, guests arrived to a season that looked very different from the classic Australian alpine winter.
And yet, in the middle of one of the toughest snow seasons on record, Chalet Charm’s guest rating rose to an incredible 9.7.
It’s a result that says something important: Chalet Charm is just as good staying in as going out.
A Chalet Designed for the Days You Stay In
While the mountain struggled for snow, Chalet Charm quietly became the place where guests rediscovered the joy of being indoors. The chalet’s cosy ambience — warm lighting, alpine décor, soft textures and thoughtful touches — turned rainy days into some of the most memorable moments of the holiday.

A Front-Row Seat to the Village
Part of the magic is location. Chalet Charm sits in the central village, right in the heart of everything. Even on low-snow days, guests could watch the action from the windows — the gondola gliding past, the alpine rollercoaster humming, skiers and riders weaving down the runs that were open.

And when the weather cleared, the village was only a hop, skip and a jump away.
Bars, restaurants, cafés, and après spots were all within moments of the front door.
Guests didn’t need perfect snow to have a perfect day.
The Balcony That Became a Holiday Highlight
One of the most-mentioned features in this season’s reviews was the sunny balcony.
On clear days, guests BBQ’d, sunbathed, shared long lunches, and soaked in the alpine air. It became a gathering place — a warm, bright contrast to the unpredictable weather.
